You’ve probably heard of the #MeTooMovement. This isn’t that, AT ALL. It’s a very different kind of“me too” problem that you might be suffering from right now.
Today I want to tell you about the Me Too problem that kills your chances with women. And I’m NOT about the #MeToo movement related to being sexually inappropriate.
I’m talking about guys who are so desperate to create rapport with a woman… That they pounce on every opportunity to agree with her.
“My favorite band of all time is U2.” “No way, ME TOO!”
“I absolutely love Korean food.” “That’s crazy, ME TOO!”
“I don’t understand how anyone can eat meat.” “I know, right? ME TOO!”
It’s not that you can never agree with anything we say.
But when you agree with everything we say, we don’t believe it.
It feels inauthentic. Like a tactic you’re using to try and show how much we have in common.
So not only does it feel manipulative, it’s also boring.
Why boring?
Because it doesn’t engage us emotionally.
It’s predictable and the same thing that most guys do to try and manufacture a connection.
Plus, it feels like you’re afraid to say what you really think in case we don’t like it.
That’s why bantering works so well.
Not only does it show you’re confident enough to challenge us on something…
But it’s also really fun and strikes an emotional chord with us.
That’s why banter and teasing is so crucial in creating attraction… Whereas conversations that are only based on rapport feel flat and dull.
And here’s the important point many guys never realize:
Even if we don’t like or agree with something you say…
We can still feel more attracted to you for having the balls to say it.
So in those examples above, it would be much more effective to playfully disagree with what she said and tease her on it.
And because it’s about subjects that are choices e.g. favorite music, food etc. then it’s safe to banter about these.
This is different to bantering about beliefs e.g. religion, politics etc. which can come across as judgemental instead of playful and fun.
And that’s the type of distinction which can be confusing when it comes to banter.
Knowing what to say… and when to say it… doesn’t come naturally to most guys.
That’s what motivated me to create the ultimate guide on how to banter with women.
Because knowing just this one skill can make a dramatic difference to how women feel about you.
